I did something completely new this week and I’m excited to share with you my first VLOG! Since it’s the first week of January and everyone is talking about their new year’s goals, I wanted to share some tips and tools I use to work on my goals.
Note: I challenged myself to learn a new skill this week and now I can say I know how to edit a video in iMovie and upload to my YouTube channel! This video is super basic but maybe one day I’ll have a real fancy vlog with pictures, music and more LOL 🙂
Goal setting can be overwhelming but with the right tools and attitude, you can achieve your goals! I have really focused the past two years on writing down my goals and working on them consistently. Back in 2015, I ordered my first set of Power Sheets by Laura Casey and honestly, they changed my life. They brought me so much perspective and helped me identify what I really want and how to achieve my goals. When you break down your big goal (with a great WHY behind it) into smaller steps and consistently take action, you will get there! Doing proper goal setting is a game changer.
Secondly, in my pursuit of achieving goals, I needed to stay organized and that’s where a good planner comes in. In 2016, I used the Emily Ley Simplified Planner. It’s a beautiful book, quality paper and helped me stay organized for sure when I actually used it. This year I switched it up and am trying out the Passion Planner. It’s a tad bigger than the Simplified Planner but it’s beautifully made and has a lot of room to doodle and free hand your to dos and errands.
As with all progress, it’s not always a direct or smooth route. If you fall off the wagon, it’s Ok so don’t beat yourself up about it. Give yourself some grace and be your own best friend.

Happy New Year friends!
