My name is Jackelyn and I am a mother, wife, sister, photographer, artist, entrepreneur, foodie and animal lover. I’m definitely a homebody and love relaxing on our back patio with our doggies and a tasty glass of red wine. If I could, I would wear workout clothes every day (because who has time for real pants?) and always have my hair in a pony tail. My newest adventure is being a mommy to my son Charlie and figuring out how to balance family, work and taking care of my body.
I started this blog because I felt that there was a void of information on the inter webs from real life woman who are raising babies, pursuing their careers and trying to stay in shape and be their best selves. Celebrities seem to have it all together but it helps to have nannies, cooks and personal trainers on staff not to mention deep pockets.
There is so much to juggle in life – families, careers, healthy living and dreams. The all time burning question for most moms is- “can I do it all?” This question has plagued me for a while. I don’t think it’s really possible to do “it” all well but I believe you can live your life with balance and happiness while perusing the things that matter to you. I think life is meant to have ups and downs but it’s also possible to do the things you love and live a life that makes you happy. The idea behind “little steps,” is that to achieve your goals, you just need to make little steps forward everyday and over time, you will achieve those goals. I’m learning that with goals, it’s better to focus on your progress (by little steps) and not perfection.
My goal with this blog is share what has worked for me in my pursuit to find some kind of balance between family, work and healthy living. Thank you for joining my journey!
